Akira Shimizu retired as a professor at the University of Tokyo.  

As of April 2022, he is a project researcher at Institute for Photon Science and Technology, and a contract staff at RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing.

However, the homepage of the former Shmizu Lab.  is kept until a new homepage is created elsewhere because some parts (such as the book information) need continual updates.
